We departed from Mikolajki round noon. Via Elk and Augustow we crossed the lithuanian border south of Lazdijai.

In Veisiejai.

Irre, was dort gesammelt wird!

Later this afternoon, after we passed the city of Druskininkai, we reach a strange collection at Grutas-Park!

Militaria? - No, border police. Where are you going? -  Norviliskes.

Yes, we do another night run and suddenly some camouflage wearing men wave us down. Dokumenti!? Anke searches in the dark car for our id-cards and i take the chance to ask into the waiting time: Polizia? Militaria? - No, border police. Where are you going? - Norviliskes. Then: ID-check and good bye.

After another 20km our sat-navi tells us to leave the road and we do on to a narrow farmtrack that looks like ending on a field. Sorry, we don't have 4WD and i turn around to the main road, where the navi now shows us a better way. Gravel and partly asphalt road running, we reach the small castle, which lays well lighted in the night.

Somewhere close behind us is the lithuanian/belarus border aned we hope for a quiet night, which needs again a second blanket for sleep. Yes, the last month of spring is doing pretty cold but hey: We're in the baltics, the main destination of our travel..
